Glosslab's founder, Rachel Apfel Glass, agrees that bold manicures are having a moment and emphasizes that anyone can wear them. Colors like white, blue, green, pink, and neons look great on all skin tones, nail shapes, and lengths, which is fun," she says.
Eunice Park, a nail artist and Après specialist, believes that part of the reason these brights that boost dopamine are so popular right now is that they bring back happy memories of earlier summers. " These colors make you feel cool and energizing.
Summer White
Choi seriously loves white in the mid year, as are the clients in her New York City nail salons, she says. For a "clean look," the nail technician suggests going with a sheer white or something more opaque to make a "bold fashion statement." Glass agrees, calling summer whites a "proven" pattern for the people who like to go both moderate and current with their nail trims. " White is the color that starts the summer. She says, "It's a fun neutral that goes well with all of your summer dresses."
Barbiecore Pink
"Summer is the best season for more brilliant and bolder nail colors that supplement the perky environment of the time," says Choi. A Barbiecore pink manicure, based on an iconic children's toy, we ask, could be more fun or nostalgic. Greta Gerwig and Margot Robbie deserve special mention for providing the ongoing aesthetic inspiration.
